President Murmu, V-P Radhakrishnan, Om Birla, Rajnath Singh greet PM Modi on his 76th birthday


President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his public service and India’s development journey under his leadership.

PM Modi, who was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, turned 76 on Thursday.

In a post on X, President Murmu said that during Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life as Chief Minister and Prime Minister, he had established new benchmarks of good governance and given “unprecedented momentum and a new direction” to inclusive development.

She also referred to India’s progress in modern development while retaining a sense of cultural heritage, saying that people were witnessing harmony between heritage and development.

The President wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life so that he could continue his public service and nation-building efforts.

V-P Radhakrishnan highlights development and digital transformation

V-P Radhakrishnan also extended his birthday greetings to PM Modi, describing India’s progress across several sectors during his tenure.

In his message, V-P Radhakrishnan referred to developments in space, technology, healthcare, infrastructure and manufacturing, as well as the country’s digital transformation.

He also cited the government’s focus on the Aspirational Districts, Vibrant and First Villages and the Northeast as Ashtalakshmi, saying these approaches had sought to turn geographical marginalisation into greater participation in development.

The Vice-President said that during his travels across States and Union Territories over the past year, he had witnessed changes reaching remote parts of the country. He wished PM Modi good health, happiness and continued strength in his efforts towards the goal of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

LS Speaker Birla credits PM Modi’s public life with focus on development

LS Speaker Birla said India was forging a new identity on the global stage under PM Modi’s leadership.

He highlighted progress in areas including development, self-reliance, innovation, digital advancement, infrastructure expansion and public welfare.

He said PM Modi’s public life spanning more than 25 years had contributed to upholding democratic values and supporting vulnerable and underprivileged sections of society.

Birla said that the Prime Minister’s active public life and focus on national development continue to inspire citizens to work towards the goal of a developed India.

Rajnath Singh highlights Viksit Bharat goal

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his birthday wishes to PM Modi and said India was moving towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Singh highlighted developments ranging from physical infrastructure and digital connectivity to welfare measures, innovation and entrepreneurship.

He said good governance and public service had been placed at the centre of the country’s development journey, contributing to greater transparency, accountability and citizen-centric administration.

The Defence Minister also referred to India’s civilisational values and cultural heritage, saying they had received renewed recognition on the global stage.

Singh wished PM Modi good health, long life and continued strength and energy in the service of the nation.

EAM Jaishankar wishes PM continued success

EAM Jaishankar also joined the birthday greetings, wishing the Prime Minister success, good health and many more years in the service of the people.

Jaishankar said PM Modi continued to inspire people globally through his ideas and achievements.
