PM Modi interacts with BJP’s newly appointed office-bearers at party headquarters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) newly appointed national office-bearers at the party headquarters in New Delhi, and said organisational meetings provide an opportunity for “new ideas and perspectives” aimed at strengthening the party and deepening its connect with the people.

Sharing pictures of the meeting on X, the Prime Minister said, “Organisational meetings are all about new ideas and perspectives aimed at strengthening the Party and deepening connect with the people. Great interaction with fellow Party colleagues and the new organisational team!”

PM Modi was welcomed at the BJP headquarters by party president Nitin Nabin and later posed for a group photograph with the newly appointed office-bearers.

The meeting marked PM Modi’s first interaction with Nabin’s newly constituted national team since its announcement earlier this week.

The 65-member team includes 51 new faces, with leaders from several states assigned key organisational responsibilities.

The interaction came as the BJP steps up preparations for organisational and public outreach programmes, including initiatives focused on engaging with young people.

Earlier on Saturday, Nabin held a meeting with the new office-bearers and stressed the importance of “Yuva Samvad”, or sustained dialogue with the youth.

The party is preparing outreach programmes targeting people aged 14 years and above and is forming dedicated teams comprising senior leaders from different states. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has been tasked with assisting in the formation of these teams and coordinating their mobilisation. Former national office-bearers are also expected to be assigned responsibilities in the campaign.

The BJP’s organisational preparations for upcoming Assembly elections were also discussed, with an emphasis on strengthening the party’s grassroots network and improving organisational readiness.

Nabin is scheduled to chair another review meeting at the BJP headquarters extension on Sunday with State BJP presidents, organisational general secretaries and State in-charges. The meeting is expected to review preparations for the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, besides discussing upcoming party programmes and broader organisational issues.
