US-Israel-Iran War Updates: As the conflict in the Middle East intensifies, United States President Donald Trump has signalled a bold stance, suggesting that war against Iran could only end if the country eliminates both its military and leadership.
According to news agency Reuters, Trump raised the possibility of the war against Iran ending only once that country no longer has a functioning military or any remaining leadership in power.

Iran’s president has apologized on Saturday for attacks on countries in the region, even as its missiles and drones flew toward Gulf Arab states, underscoring Tehran’s political leadership’s lack of full control over the Islamic Republic’s armed forces, and rejecting US President Donald Trump’s repeated demands for surrender.
“I should apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran, on my own behalf,” the president said. “From now on, they should not attack neighboring countries or fire missiles at them, unless we are attacked by those countries. I think we should solve this through diplomacy.”
“I think we need to solve this with diplomacy rather than fighting and having problems with neighboring countries,” he added, as quoted by CNN.
Meanwhile, the Iranian president also rejected US President Donald Trump’s demand for “complete surrender,” stating, “Iran’s enemies must take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves.”

Trump said on Saturday that Venezuela is finished, but right now “our focus is on Iran”. In his latest remarks he reflected on the successful January military operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, the subsequent gold deal with the new Venezuelan government, and the potential for a quick resolution with Cuba, which he described as being in its “last moments of life”.
However, he abruptly shifted the conversation to the escalating situation in the Middle East, stating, “But our focus right now is on Iran…” This pivot underscores the Trump administration’s current strategic priority amid ongoing US and allied actions against Iran, following the Venezuela intervention that Trump has repeatedly cited as a model for regime influence and resource access. The comment highlights how rapidly global hotspots are evolving under his second term, with Venezuela’s “win” now serving as a backdrop to intensified attention on Iran.
