For the uninitiated, Taylor is currently at the centre of a highly-publicised controversy over an ongoing domestic violence investigation involving her and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Amid this, ABC cancelled the Season 22 premiere of The Bachelorette after a 2023 video featuring Taylor attacking ex, Dakota, in the presence of her daughter, Indy, leaked. Now, Taylor gets another shock as she lost a custody battle to Dakota.
Taylor Frankie Paul loses temporary custody of 2-year-old son, Ever, to ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen
Amid the ongoing domestic assault row, Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, had requested the court for their 2-year-old son, Ever’s temporary protection. According to a report by TMZ, Dakota won the case, and a protective order has been granted. The same outlet also reported that Taylor won’t be allowed to see her son, Ever, until April 2026. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Dakota would have the temporary custody of Ever, at least till April 7, 2026. Until then, Taylor strictly needs to stay 100 feet away from Dakota and his home. On February 19, 2026, Dakota told the court about a ‘chaotic’ and ‘frightening’ recent incident in which Taylor choked him.
