A recent report by the ANI revealed that the dispute related to the RK Family Trust has escalated significantly after Sunjay Kapur’s mother, Rani Kapur, sought the removal of daughter-in-law, Priya Sachdev, as a trustee. The provisions of the trust deed are dated October 26, 2017. Sunjay Kapur’s mom, Rani, claimed that the trust is alleged to hold assets, as she claims they are her own. Rani has raised questions related to the validity of the trust and its administration. According to the notice, Priya Kapur was appointed trustee after a meeting reportedly held on June 25, 2026, following her husband’s demise on June 25, 2025.
