A 16-year-old girl was found murdered in an abandoned house in the DJ Halli area in Bengaluru last week. According to the police, her fiancé, who brutally killed her on Tuesday (March 17), has been arrested in Rajasthan’s Ajmer, according to a Times of India report.
Her 25-year-old fiancé, Syed Sabeel, is a resident of Kushalnagar in KG Halli and was absconding after the murder of the teen girl. However, the girl was from the Kolar district, TOI reported.
The police formed a team and tracked him down, leading to his arrest in Ajmer. The police are now bringing him back to Bengaluru on a transit warrant to continue the investigation into the case.
How The Bengaluru Girl Was Killed?
The teenage girl’s fiancé killed her by slitting her throat inside a dilapidated house on March 17. The abandoned house in DJ Halli was their main meeting point.
The girl used to visit her aunt in the DJ Halli. During these visits, she met Sabeel, and the two began a relationship. Sabeel used to help his father run an onion shop.
After their families learned about them, they arranged their engagement in June last year. However, things did not set right, and tensions emerged after she continued to meet Sabeel secretly.

What Happened After The Girl Went Missing?
On Tuesday last week, the girl went missing from her aunt’s house. She left her phone at home, which made the family more worried. As they tried calling Sabeel, he did not answer either.
Based on a tip-off, the girl’s aunt visited the abandoned house where the two used to meet. There, they found the girl lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut injury to her throat, according to a TOI report.
According to the preliminary investigation, the last call from the girl’s phone was to Sabeel. However, the accused will be interrogated after being brought back to Bengaluru.
“Once he is brought to the city, he will be taken into police custody and questioned in detail,” TOI reported, quoting a police official.
