PM Modi shares article highlighting India’s inclusive development journey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared an opinion piece by former President Ram Nath Kovind that praised the central government’s development model for expanding social inclusion.

A post shared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on X said, “Former President Shri Ramnath Kovind writes that India’s development story is increasingly bringing those who were unheard, unseen or underserved into the mainstream. He highlights PM Narendra Modi’s focus on Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and says the periphery is now moving to the centre of India’s development ambition.”

Kovind, who served as President from 2017 to 2022, said the most enduring achievement of the PM Modi era may lie not in any single scheme or infrastructure project but in the expansion of the Indian mainstream itself.

He cited initiatives targeting the Northeast, tribal communities, border villages, aspirational districts and blocks, women and financially excluded households as examples of an approach focused on wider participation in development.
