PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment Today: The long wait is finally over! Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be releasing the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan scheme today. Eligible farmers under the PM Kisan scheme have been patiently waiting for their 22nd instalment. These beneficiaries will receive Rs 2,000 directly in their bank accounts.
According to news agency PTI, in November last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, under which Rs 316.38 crore was directly transferred to the accounts of 15.82 lakh farmers in Haryana. From Coimbatore, PM Modi released the 21st instalment of PM Kisan, amounting to more than Rs 18,000 crore to support 9 crore farmers across the country, the report added.
Eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under this scheme, in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each. Since its launch on February 24, 2019, the government has released 21 instalments.

The first instalment of each cycle has been released over the past few years as follows:
- The scheme was launched on February 24, 2019.
- 2020 (December-March cycle) – January 2, 2020
- 2021 (December-March cycle) – December 25, 2020
- 2022 (December-March cycle) – January 1, 2022
- 2023 (December-March cycle) – February 27, 2023
- 2024 (December-March cycle) – February 28, 2024
- 2025 (December-March cycle) – February 24, 2025
Following this pattern, the government has typically credited the December-March instalment in January or February, and sometimes it has extended to late February. This year, the announcement has been slightly delayed compared to previous cycles.
What Shivraj Singh Chouhan said
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that since the scheme’s launch in February 2019 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than Rs 4.09 lakh crore has been directly deposited to the accounts of qualified farmer households.
With the delivery of the 22nd instalment, the cumulative amount transferred will reach Rs 4.27 lakh crore, he added.

Who will be excluded from the PM Kisan scheme beneficiary list?
The government has identified certain suspected cases that may be excluded from the PM Kisan scheme beneficiary list. These include:
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member, minor, etc.).
- The benefits for such cases have been temporarily withheld till their physical verification is completed.

The PM Kisan website allows you to verify if your name is included in the official beneficiary list of the scheme. Here’s how you can check it-
- Visit the Official PM Kisan portal: Go to https://pmkisan.gov.in/.
- Access ‘Farmers Corner’: Find the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage.
- Select ‘Beneficiary List’: Click on the‘Beneficiary List’ option within the menu.
- Select State, District, Block and Village and click on Get Report
- It will display all the names of PM Kisan scheme beneficiaries.
