Kolkata: A bomb threat was reported on an IndiGo flight operating from Dibrugarh to Kolkata on Saturday evening after a suspicious message, allegedly written with lipstick, was found inside the aircraft’s toilet, officials said. The threat was discovered onboard IndiGo flight 6E 6894, an Airbus A-320 bound for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. The aircraft landed safely at 7:37 pm, after which it was immediately moved to an isolation bay as a precautionary measure.

Airport authorities confirmed that all passengers were safely deboarded and no injuries were reported. Security agencies then began checks in line with established safety protocols.
The incident came just hours after another bomb scare involving an IndiGo flight at Kolkata airport earlier in the day. According to the airline, a security threat was detected onboard flight 6E 7304, which was scheduled to operate from Kolkata to Shillong.
During the boarding process, crew members found a piece of paper inside the aircraft’s toilet stating that a bomb was present onboard. Passengers were immediately evacuated and the aircraft was shifted to an isolation bay for detailed inspection.
