'I Lost Even After Winning Case..' Harish Rana's Lawyer Who Fought His Case To Grant Him Euthanasia



Harish Rana was a 32-year-old engineering student from Ghaziabad who had big hopes, but all he could do was create a big impact on India’s law against ‘iccha mrityu’ euthanasia. For the unversed, he was in a coma for over 13 years. With no improvement in his condition, the family knocked on the Supreme Court’s door to withdraw him from life support and allow him to die with dignity.

On March 24, 2026, Harish Rana passed away at AIIMS. His condition was continuously monitored after he was allowed passive euthanasia by the court. The staff made sure that he didn’t suffer during this time. Meanwhile, in an interview with NDTV, Harish Rana’s lawyer, Manish Jain, talked about getting the historical order in favour of him.
