Hindi is a powerful expression of national unity: Yogi Adityanath


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday extended his greetings and best wishes to Hindi lovers and the people of the state on ‘Hindi Diwas’, describing Hindi as a powerful expression of cultural consciousness and national unity. He called for its wider use and enrichment.

Taking to X, CM Adityanath said: “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Hindi lovers and the people of the state on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

Hindi is a powerful expression of our cultural consciousness, national unity, and Indian identity. Let us all come together and resolve to promote the respect, enrichment, and wider use of the Hindi language.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami greeted the people of the state on ‘Hindi Diwas’ and called for collective efforts to honour, promote, and widely disseminate Hindi and “make the mother tongue more powerful on the global stage”.

In a post on X, Dhami said,

“Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the state on Hindi Diwas. Hindi is not merely a medium of communication and expression, but a powerful identity of our culture, traditions, folk consciousness, and intimate emotions. Let us, on this occasion, resolve to honor Hindi, promote it, and ensure its widespread dissemination, and participate in making our mother tongue even more powerful on the global stage. #HindiDiwas”

Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, said on X:

“Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the state on Hindi Day. Let us, on this occasion, come together and resolve to make our official language Hindi and all Indian languages even more empowered, enriched, and honored. #हिन्दी_दिवस”

 

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said Hindi is not merely a language but the very identity of the country’s culture, values and national ethos.

Samrat Choudhary posted on X:

“Hindi is not merely a language, but the very identity of our culture, values, and national ethos. With a pledge to the glory, honor, and continuous propagation of Hindi, heartfelt greetings of Hindi Diwas to all the residents of the state. #HindiDiwas”

Article 343 of the Constitution provides for Hindi in Devanagari script as the Official Language of the Union, while Article 351 places responsibility on the Union to promote, develop, and enrich Hindi.
