New Delhi: A 22-year-old man was allegedly drugged and had his private parts mutilated by a woman in north Delhi’s Wazirabad area after she found out he had been lying to her about being married. The accused, Amina Khatoon, is on the run and police is searching for her.
The victim, Visarjeet, is from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh and works as a quack doctor. He had been in a relationship with Amina Khatoon, a resident of Wazirabad originally from Katihar in Bihar, for two years. Amina did not know he was already married.
According to police, Visarjeet came to Delhi on February 24 and was staying at Amina’s place. In his statement to police, he said the two had known each other for two years.
He further alleged that during the night, Amina mixed an intoxicating substance in milk and gave it to him. Around 2.30 am, when he was barely conscious, she attacked him with a sharp weapon and caused serious injuries to his private parts.
She had by then found out that he was married and had been lying to her all along.
Despite his serious injuries, Visarjeet managed to reach Hindu Rao Hospital on his own. Doctors referred him to Safdarjung Hospital where he underwent surgery. Police received information from Hindu Rao Hospital on February 25, reached the hospital, recorded his statement and collected the medico-legal certificate.
Case Registered, Suspect Remains at Large
Based on his statement and medical evidence, police registered a case under two sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Section 118(2) for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons and Section 123 for causing hurt by means of poison with intent to commit an offence.
Amina Khatoon is currently absconding. She is a native of Katihar in Bihar and was living in Wazirabad at the time of the incident. Police is actively looking for her.
Further investigation is underway.
