Weather Tomorrow Delhi: Delhi is set to experience significant weather changes tomorrow, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain and thunderstorms across the National Capital Region (NCR). This warning indicates that severe weather conditions are expected, which may disrupt daily activities.

According to the IMD, Delhi is expected to see light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching up to 50 kilometres per hour. The maximum temperature is likely to stay around 26 degrees Celsius, and the minimum will stay at 16 degrees Celsius on Friday (March 20).
Moreover, the met department has issued a “yellow alert” for tomorrow, warning, “Light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning & gusty winds (30-40kmph).”
Rainfall is expected to commence early in the day, with the intensity increasing throughout the morning and peaking in the afternoon. However, the current temperature in Delhi is forecast to drop to between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, significantly below the seasonal average for this time of year.
Delhi Weather Impact on Flight Operations
Amid the adverse weather conditions, major airlines, including IndiGo and Air India, have issued advisories regarding potential delays and disruptions to flight operations at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
Passengers are advised to check their flight statuses before heading to the airport, as rain and strong winds may affect both departures and arrivals.
Why Such a Change in Weather?
This unusual drop in temperature is attributed to the influence of a powerful Western Disturbance affecting North India.
In addition to rain, isolated hailstorms may occur in regions such as Uttarakhand, Punjab, and parts of Uttar Pradesh. The IMD’s forecast indicates that the pre-monsoon activity will continue in various states, with scattered rainfall expected across Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.
The weather conditions are likely to improve only after March 22, when a gradual recovery in temperatures is anticipated.
