India has put the spotlight on agri-food innovation at Gulfood 2026 through the BHARATI Pavilion, APEDA’s flagship platform for promoting export-ready startups, as the country participates in the global exhibition as a partner country. Organised by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the pavilion is located in the Startup Zone at the Dubai World Trade Centre and features eight high-potential Indian startups selected through a national-level process.
The BHARATI Pavilion forms part of India’s expanded presence at Gulfood 2026, where the Indian Pavilion has doubled in size compared to last year and spans a total exhibition area of 1,434 square metres with 161 exhibitors. The startups on display are presenting innovative food products, agri-tech solutions and export-enabling technologies aligned with APEDA’s “farm to foreign” vision, reflecting India’s push to integrate innovation with global market access.
India’s participation at Gulfood 2026 highlights its growing stature in global agri-food trade and its role as a reliable sourcing destination. Exhibitors from 25 states and regions are taking part, alongside farmer producer organisations, cooperatives, exporters, state agencies and national institutions, offering a comprehensive view of the country’s agri-food ecosystem. APEDA officials said the initiative is aimed at strengthening buyer–seller linkages, supporting startups and exporters, and reinforcing India’s position as an innovation-driven and sustainable player in the global agri-food value chain.
