A 27-year-old woman died in Bengaluru after allegedly consuming pesticide following a domestic dispute with her husband, police said. The woman, identified as Kavya, had been married to Rangaswamy for five years and has a four-year-old child, too. According to police, as per NDTV, the argument began when Kavya reheated and served sambar that had been prepared three days earlier.
The argument quickly turned into assault, during which the husband allegedly verbally abused her. Following the confrontation, Kavya allegedly consumed pesticide that was kept at home for agricultural use. Family members noticed she was unwell after she began vomiting and rushed her to a hospital. However, she died on the way, police said.

Her body has been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
This comes days after a 35-year-old engineer died by suicide at her home in Bengaluru on Tuesday (March 3) after an argument with her mother-in-law, Kalpana, over cooking food. According to police, Sushma, who was formerly working at the IT company, Dell, married Puneeth Kumar five years ago, and the couple has a four-year-old son. Police said disputes over minor domestic issues were frequent in the house.

Meanwhile, Sushma’s family has alleged that the techie took the step after Kalpana did not allow her to cook in the house and rather kept harassing her over various issues. Sushma’s family also filed a case against the the husband’s side accusing them of dowry harassment. taking action on the same, police have arrested her husband, while a search is underway for the mother-in-law, while further investigation is underway.
