Bengaluru residents woke up to a slightly cool Tuesday morning on March 17, with the temperature dropping to around 19 degrees C in the early hours. According to the India Meteorological Department, the city is likely to see generally cloudy skies with light rain later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 33–34 degrees C, while the minimum temperature will stay close to 20 degrees C.
Humidity levels in the city are expected to remain between 50% and 80%, which may make the afternoon slightly warm.
Bengaluru Weather Forecast for the Week
The weather department has predicted similar conditions for the next few days in Bengaluru. From March 18 to March 22, the city is expected to experience generally cloudy skies with light rain. Temperatures during this period are likely to remain around 33°C during the day and about 20 degrees C at night.
The IMD has not issued any weather warnings for Bengaluru during this period.
Rain Likely Across Many Karnataka Districts
The India Meteorological Department has also predicted rainfall across several parts of Karnataka until March 21.
Weather department said the rainfall is linked to a cyclonic circulation formed between Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, which is influencing weather patterns across the region. Because of this system, Malnad, coastal and interior districts of the state may experience thunderstorms and rain over the next few days.
Districts Likely to Receive Thunderstorms
The weather department has forecast thunderstorms with rain in several districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga and Uttara Kannada. Rainfall activity is expected to continue in Malnad, coastal and interior Karnataka regions until March 21. In Kasaragod district, the weather is expected to remain hot during the daytime, while cloud cover may increase in the afternoon, evening and night hours.
Rain is possible in some areas, but it will largely depend on wind conditions, according to local weather observations.

No Weather Warning Issued
Despite the expected rainfall across several districts, the India Meteorological Department has not issued any official weather warning for Bengaluru or most parts of the state for now.
