What started as an investigation into a viral clip of a Lamborghini Huracan performing dangerous drifting stunts led Bengaluru Traffic Police to the son of a late underworld figure. The incident reportedly took place between 2 am and 3 am at Anil Kumble Circle, where the vehicle was seen executing high-speed turns and circling the junction, allegedly endangering public safety. In the video, some occupants were also seen standing through the sunroof and shouting.
An FIR was registered within the jurisdiction of the Cubbon Park Police Station, after which cops issued a notice to Ricky Rai, son of late underworld figure Muthappa Rai, asking him to appear for questioning, as the car was traced to his residence. However, officials clarified that it is still unclear who was driving the vehicle at the time of the stunt.
The FIR has been registered under sections related to rash and negligent driving and endangering human life. Police said efforts are underway to identify and trace all those involved in the incident.

The 11-second video of the stunt went viral on social media, showing the car drifting at the junction as onlookers cheered before it sped away. The video showed the car performing drifts and high-speed turns, allegedly endangering public safety.
According to police, the driver performed stunts, including circling the junction. Some of the occupants of the car were also seen standing out of the sunroof and screaming.

“An FIR has been registered under sections pertaining to rash and negligent driving and endangering human life and efforts are being taken to trace those involved in the act,” a senior police officer said on Saturday.
The case comes amid growing concern over reckless driving linked to social media trends. Earlier this week, a 15-year-old boy died in Hubballi while allegedly filming a reel involving high-speed vehicles. Police said the teenager was riding an electric bike when it collided with an Audi Q7 reportedly driven by another minor during the shoot. Further investigation in both cases is underway.
