Bengaluru Weather Tomorrow: Bengaluru on Tuesday (March 17) welcomed pre-monsoon showers, offering them a much-needed break from the intense heat that has gripped the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that rain is likely to continue throughout the week, bringing relief to residents. This weather change has been described as the arrival of ‘Mango showers,’ a term commonly used to refer to the first pre-monsoon rains in southern India.

Following nearly two weeks of high temperatures, which forced many residents to seek refuge indoors, Bengaluru experienced light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday afternoon.

First Rain of 2026 Hit Bengaluru

This marks the first rain of 2026 in Bengaluru, and the pre-monsoon showers have brought significant relief for the Silicon Valley. The IMD has issued advisories indicating that rainfall will persist across various districts in Karnataka, including the urban and rural areas of Bengaluru.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to stay around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be around 20 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the met department has forecasted a generally cloudy sky with light rain.

As per the IMD, light to moderate rain is expected to occur in Bengaluru and the surrounding districts over the next few days. The forecast suggests temperatures will remain between a maximum of 32°C and a minimum of 19°C during this period.

Rainfall has already been recorded in several localities, including Mysore Road and Vijayanagar, which saw significant downpours accompanied by thunder and lightning.
