Bengal BLO Calls Lover’s Husband For ‘SIR’, Kills Him, Dumps Body Parts In Canal

west bengal horror: blo calls lover’s husband for ‘sir’, kills him, dumps body parts in canal

A late-night meeting meant to “discuss electoral roll revisions” turned into a chilling murder plot in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas after a booth-level officer and his alleged accomplice killed and dismembered a 30-year-old man. The duo was arrested after remains of the victim were recovered from a canal in Baduria. Police say the killing was driven by an extramarital relationship, and came to light through phone tracking, exposing the gruesome crime.

The accused BLO – Rizwan Hasan Mondal (48) and his accomplice Sagar Gyne were arrested on Friday (February 13) after dismembered body parts of the victim – 30-year-old Nasir Ali were found in a canal in Baduria, a police officer said. Preliminary investigation found that Mondal had an extramarital relationship with Ali’s wife and he had asked the deceased to meet him at a deserted place late on Monday (February 9) evening on the pretext of discussing some issues pertaining to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in West Bengal, he said.

“Nasir reportedly left home with the SIR documents but did not return. The next day, his bike was found in a canal, along with a pair of shoes. However, Nasir remains missing,” a senior official told TOI.

His family lodged a police complaint the next day, alleging BLO’s involvement. Taking action on the complaint, police tracked Mondal’s phone calls and movement, and found the body parts in the canal on Friday morning, the officer said.

Subsequently, Mondal was interrogated and later arrested on the charge of murdering Ali and dumping his body parts in three different places in the canal. Meanwhile, Gyne was also arrested on the charge of assisting Mondal in the murder, dismemberment of the body and dumping the parts, he added.

Locals staged a road blockade in the area for around half-an-hour demanding justice. They were later persuaded by the police to lift the stir.
