Ahmedabad: A young man in Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej area allegedly set himself on fire and jumped off a hospital building after having an argument with a female friend on Thursday evening. According to the officials, the deceased was in a one-sided love with the woman, who is in shock after seeing the man self-immolating himself. The police said her statement would be recorded once she is mentally stable. Several videos of the incident are going viral on social media, showing locals throwing water at the man. Despite everyone’s attempt to save him, the man died due to severe burns.
What Happened?
The young man has been identified as Kamran Shahidkhan Pathan. According to the police, the woman is working as a receptionist at Alnoor Hospital. On the day of the incident, the deceased had come to her workplace to meet her. An argument broke out between them, and the man poured petrol on himself there in the evening at 8:30 PM.

Then, the deceased jumped from the first floor of the hospital.
Shocked and panicked, locals rushed to help Pathan. Although people called an 108 ambulance and took him to the hospital, the young man died due to severe burns. Meanwhile, several people recorded the horrific episode on camera, showing the young man struggling with the blazes.
A report of accidental death has been registered at the Sarkhej Police Station regarding the entire incident. An investigation has been launched to find out the real reason behind the suicide. The woman’s statement is crucial to solve the case.
