Bengaluru Lamborghini Stunt Case Update: The lawyer representing Ricky Rai, the son of former don Muthappa Rai, has defended the driver in the Lamborghini stunt case, saying that the driver behind wheel was “talented”. He denied that Rai was driving the vehicle, saying that the car had gone for servicing at the time.
“Firstly, there was no nuisance; that day, there were no people on the road. The car was given for service, and the driver collected it. Many claimed Ricky Rai was driving, but that is wrong; he wasn’t driving; the driver was. I request you all not to say Ricky was driving. I won’t deny he was in the car, but this was not done intentionally,” lawyer Narayanaswamy said.

He added, “When he applied the brakes, the car skidded because the road was newly paved. There’s nothing big in this. The driver immediately regained control of the car. It happened accidentally.”
The case stems from a video showing a Lamborghini performing stunts on MG Road, which quickly went viral. Following the clip, the Cubbon Park Traffic Police registered a case and seized the luxury car. Investigators initially suspected that Ricky Rai was driving the vehicle.

The defence rested largely on the claim that the incident was accidental, not deliberate. According to the lawyer, the vehicle lost control due to road conditions, and not reckless intent.
Ricky Rai, who had earlier been issued a notice, appeared before the traffic police and submitted the vehicle documents. Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage as part of the ongoing probe.
The case has drawn attention not only because of the dramatic visuals but also due to Rai’s background. His father, the late Muthappa Rai, was a controversial figure once linked to the underworld who later rebranded himself as a businessman and social figure.
Ricky Rai himself had survived a shooting incident in Bidadi in 2023, adding to the public profile surrounding the case.
