Stuck in Delhi–Noida Route Traffic? This New Road Will Cut Travel Time by 30 Minutes – Check Details

delhi noida traffic new road will cut travel time by 30 minutes

Commuters travelling between Delhi and Noida could soon see a significant reduction in travel time, with the Delhi government planning a new 4.5–5 km road connecting Aali Vihar to Mathura Road. The proposed two-lane stretch aims to ease congestion on some of the city’s busiest routes, potentially saving 20 to 30 minutes during peak hours.

The new road will run along the Agra Canal and is designed to decongest the heavily burdened Ashram–Aali corridor and Kalindi Kunj junction, both of which see massive daily traffic. These stretches currently serve as key links between Delhi and Noida, often leading to long delays due to bottlenecks and a lack of alternative routes.

How the New Road Will Benefit South Delhi Commuters

Officials, as per a report by The Indian Express, said the project will provide the first direct access route to Aali village and nearby densely populated areas, reducing their dependence on overcrowded arterial roads. The stretch will be developed in three segments, connecting Aali Vihar to Lal Shiv Mandir, further linking to Road No 13A, and extending towards Sarita Vihar and Mathura Road.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has already sanctioned Rs 38.03 crore for the project under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund. Once completed, the road is expected to improve connectivity not just within South Delhi but also towards Noida and Faridabad.

Connectivity Boost With Upcoming Highways

The project is also planned to be integrated with the Madanpur Khadar Bridge, offering direct access to the upcoming DND–Faridabad–Sohna Highway. This will further streamline traffic flow for both daily commuters and freight movement.
