Bengaluru Power Cut: Several areas across Bengaluru are expected to face a power cut for the next three days, as announced by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM). The scheduled power outage is expected from March 23 to March 25. The power cuts will last up to nine hours each day due to essential maintenance and infrastructure work on electricity lines.

Timings of Bengaluru Power Cut

From March 23 to March 25, BESCOM will implement longer outages from 9 AM to 6 PM to conduct reconductoring work on feeders in the Kyasamballi branch of the Bethamangala sub-division.

Which Areas Are Affected by Power Cut?

Villages linked to feeders F-02, F-03, F-04, F-11, and F-12 are likely to be impacted. Other villages likely to be affected include:

  • Kyasamballi
  • Parandahalli
  • Dodda Ponandahalli
  • Chikka Ponandahalli
  • Balla
  • Guttahalli
  • Parts of Kamasamudram
  • Nallur
  • Ramasandra
  • Sundarapalya

Moreover, the nearby local areas surrounding these regions will also be affected by the power cuts. BESCOM has identified additional localities that may face interruptions, including areas around Anjaneya Temple, Basaveshwara Temple, and Narasimhaswamy Temple. Residents in nearby villages like Kakkeru, Hosuru, and Muttighatta should also prepare for potential outages.

BESCOM has assured that electricity supply for agricultural pump sets will be restored during nighttime hours to minimise disruption to farming activities. This measure is aimed at ensuring that farmers can continue their work without significant hindrance.

Bengaluru Power Cut on March 22

Earlier, on March 22, residents experienced a disruption in the electricity supply for five hours. This outage was necessary for maintenance work on the 66/11 kV lines connecting Chitradurga city to Amritapura Railway Station.
