Bengaluru Rain Today: Residents of Bengaluru are experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to chaos across the city. At one place, a large hoarding reportedly collapsed due to strong winds. Meanwhile, the forecast for thunderstorms has also disrupted the flight operations. In an official advisory released on Thursday (March 19), IndiGo alerted that the arrivals and departures at the Bengaluru Airport may be affected. The weather is expected to remain the same on Friday (March 20). Therefore, residents are requested to plan their outside journey accordingly. Due to the heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain.
Bengaluru Flight Advisory
IndiGo stated that the airline staff has taken precautionary measures to ensure that the flights run on time. However, the Bengaluru weather may force authorities to alter schedule flight timings. They have urged passengers to track updates on official website to leave home accordingly for their journey.
IndiGo (@IndiGo6E) posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Travel Advisory: With thundershower expected to pass over #Delhi and #Bangalore, departures and arrivals may be slightly impacted. Please also allow for some extra travel time as road traffic may also be affected. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this weather together.”
Damage So Far
A viral post on social media showed a massive hoarding lying on the roof of a house next to it. The incident is claimed to have taken on Wednesday (March 18) when the gutsy winds took over the city.
