In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a family allegedly tried to pack an elderly man inside a sack and present him as a parcel at a courier office in the Vyalikaval area, claiming it was all planned for a Instagram reel. According to police sources quoted by NDTV, five members of the family, including a woman, her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law, arrived at the courier office on Tuesday (March 17) carrying a large sack requesting to courier it.
When the staff asked what the parcel contained, the family reportedly did not give a clear answer. When the staff were suspicious and asked them to open the sack, they discovered an elderly man inside the sack. The man visibly was seen struggling to breathe.
Upon questioning the family revealed they did this as a part of a planned social media reel in order to highlight the difficulties of travelling during the festive season around Ugadi and Ramzan. They said the idea was to depict that “couriering a person” was the only option left for travel.
The cops were alerted following the incident, who took the family station and later recorded an apology video strictly warning against attempting such acts in future.
