“As a result, parts of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi are likely to witness rainfall over the next two days. This is expected to be the season’s first pre-monsoon rain, which has arrived about 10 days earlier than usual,” Mahesh Palawat, vice president of meteorology and climate change at Skymet Weather, told PTI.

Light rain, dust storms likely in parts of Rajasthan due to western disturbance

Light rain accompanied by strong winds is likely at several places in Rajasthan from Saturday due to the impact of a western disturbance, the Meteorological Department said.

The impact of the western disturbance may lead to thunderclouds, gusty winds with speeds of 30–40 km per hour and light rain or drizzle at isolated places in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu districts and nearby areas on Saturday.

On March 15, light dust storms and rain or drizzle may occur at isolated places in Ajmer, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions, districts of the Shekhawati region, and Ganganagar and Hanumangarh districts and adjoining areas.
