'The Madison' Review: An Austere, Melodramatic, And Sometimes Brutal Series By Taylor Sheridan

The Madison has been considered one of the most anticipated releases of March 2026. The show’s first 3 episodes have already dropped on March 13, 2026 and are available to stream on Paramount+. For those unaware, The Madison Season 1 consists of 6 episodes in total, with the last 3 episodes scheduled to drop on the streamer on March 21, 2026.

Coming from the renowned television writer, director, and producer, Taylor Sheridan, The Madison is unlike any other show he has ever done. While many initially thought that The Madison has a narrative connection to or is a spin-off of Sheridan’s neo-Western drama, Yellowstone, that is not true, as already verified by Forbes.

What is Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison about?

The Madison centres around a power couple – ‘Preston Clyburn’ (Kurt Russell) and ‘Stacy Clyburn’ (Michelle Pfeiffer), who lead a life of privilege in Manhattan, New York City. At the very beginning of the show, we see ‘Preston’ out on a scenic fishing trip in southwest Montana along with his brother, ‘Paul’. It soon becomes clear that ‘Preston’ is the one who holds the family together and does not have an arrogant bone in his body, despite being uber-rich.
