Bengaluru: A delivery executive working with Blinkit has been arrested in Bengaluru after he allegedly assaulted a customer during an argument over a delivery address, police said. The incident took place around 2 am on March 7 at an apartment complex in the Koramangala area. Police identified the accused as Tanush, a delivery worker from Ejipura. According to the complaint, the customer, Paul J Vithayathil, had placed an order through the Blinkit app and was waiting for the delivery at his apartment.
Tiff Over Address Lead to Violence
Police said the delivery worker mistakenly went to a different location inside the building while trying to complete the delivery. When the customer contacted him and asked him to come to the correct floor, an argument reportedly started between the two over the phone, according to a report by Times of India.
Officers said the delivery worker later came to the customer’s flat, where the dispute became more serious.

Delivery Boy Punched Customer
During the confrontation, the accused allegedly punched the customer in the face, threw the ordered items on the ground and then fled the spot. The injured customer later went for medical treatment. Doctors carried out tests, including an X-ray of his nasal bones, which confirmed that his nose had been fractured, as per TOI report.
Based on the complaint and the medical report, police registered a case and later arrested the delivery executive. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
