Inside The Paradise: Massive Set Built for Nani’s Film

The upcoming film The Paradise, starring actor Nani, is already generating curiosity among cinema lovers, not just for its story but also for the massive effort that has gone into creating its shooting locations. According to information from the film’s team, the makers constructed a huge and highly detailed set designed to resemble a sprawling slum settlement, giving the movie a realistic visual backdrop.

Instead of relying on painted boards or temporary facades often used in film sets, the production team reportedly built an entire mini settlement spread across nearly 2.5 acres of land. The set includes around 60 fully constructed houses, carefully designed to create the look and feel of a densely populated slum area. This large-scale construction was done to ensure authenticity during filming and to allow the camera to capture wide and dynamic shots without limitations.

One of the most striking structures on the set is a specially built house created for Nani’s character in the film. The structure is significantly larger than the other houses and measures approximately 60 feet in width and 45 feet in height. According to the production team, nearly 25 workers were involved in constructing this house, and it took close to 20 days to complete the work.

The entire set was designed to accommodate large-scale scenes involving crowds and multiple actors. In fact, the constructed area is reportedly spacious enough to hold around 500 people at a time during filming. This allows the filmmakers to shoot complex sequences involving large groups of background artists without the need for digital crowd creation.

Another interesting detail about the production involves a special water body created for a song sequence in the film. To achieve the required visual effect, the team constructed a pond-like structure on the set. Filling this artificial water body required a significant amount of water, with nearly 100 water tankers reportedly used for the purpose. It took around seven days just to fill the area to the desired level before filming the song sequence.

Such large-scale set construction highlights the growing ambition of filmmakers in Indian cinema, where detailed production design is increasingly being used to enhance storytelling and create immersive cinematic experiences.

With actor Nani playing the lead role, The Paradise has already attracted attention among fans. The extensive set work and the effort invested in creating realistic locations are expected to add a unique visual appeal to the film when it reaches theaters.
