Flights from UAE to India: In a major relief to thousands of Indians stranded in the UAE, flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to India resumed on Monday night, March 2, with services to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru taking off after days of suspension.
An Emirates flight from Dubai to Mumbai landed safely at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Tuesday, March 3, as flight operations gradually resumed following disruptions triggered by the escalating West Asian conflict.
Emirates flight EK 500 arrived in Mumbai amid tight coordination between airport authorities and airline officials, bringing relief to stranded passengers who had faced uncertainty over the past few days due to widespread cancellations and delays.
In a similar development, the first flight from Abu Dhabi landed at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Monday night, bringing back passengers affected by the disruption in air travel services.
Meanwhile, another Emirates flight from Dubai to Bengaluru departed on Monday night, as operations at Dubai airports began to partially resume.
Dubai Airports confirmed that a limited resumption of operations would begin on the evening of March 2 (Monday), with a small number of flights permitted to operate from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
With flights gradually taking to the skies once again, normalcy is slowly returning to the UAE, and for the thousands of Indians eager to get home, the wait is finally coming to an end.
Air India Express resumes Muscat flights, extends UAE suspension
Air India Express has announced that it will restart flight operations to and from Muscat beginning March 3, 2026.
However, services to and from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will remain suspended until 23:59 hrs IST (18:29 hrs UTC) on March 3, 2026.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status regularly and ensure their contact details are updated in their PNR to receive the latest notifications. For change or cancellation waivers, travellers can manage their bookings through the airline’s website, mobile app, or via WhatsApp support.
Middle East crisis: SpiceJet to operate four special flights from UAE’s Fujairah
SpiceJet on Tuesday, March 3, said it will operate four special flights from Fujairah in the UAE to bring back stranded passengers.
Flight operations have been disrupted due to the closure of airspaces in the Middle East amid the escalating conflict involving US, Israel and Iran.
In a statement, SpiceJet said it would operate four special flights to connect Fujairah with Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi on Tuesday and for the next few days.
Out of them, two flights would be operated to Mumbai. The airline is also exploring the possibility of operating more special flights, subject to passenger requirements and regulatory approvals.
SpiceJet will restore its scheduled Fujairah-Delhi and Fujairah-Mumbai flights from March 4, the statement said.
US-Israel-Iran conflict
Following the US-Israel strikes against Iran on February 28, Iran launched a wave of retaliatory attacks, using drones and missiles targeting multiple Arab countries in the region as a retaliatory action, which resulted in flight cancellations.
Authorities urged caution. Travellers have been advised not to proceed to DXB or DWC unless they have been contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time.
