bengaluru college girl gang raped at private villa in bangalore on valentine day taken to private villa, drugged before 'friends' raped her: 'i kept saying no'

Reported by Navya Y, Bengaluru: A disturbing incident has emerged from Bengaluru where a 19-year-old college student was allegedly sexually assaulted by two male friends on Valentine’s Day (February 14). The survivor stated that she was in love with one of the accused, identified as Diksan, and had visited a private villa at his invitation. In her statement, the student alleged that the two men habitually manipulate women, drugging them with pills to facilitate sexual assault. She added that they are influential individuals, which she believes has deterred others from speaking out against them. Following the allegations, the accused men have fled; police have registered an FIR (First Information Report) and are currently searching for them.

The woman alleged that Diksan called her daily, talking for hours to gain her affection. On Valentine’s Day, she arrived at the private villa only to find Diksan with another woman, which upset her. The 19-year-old stated that she insisted on leaving multiple times, but the second accused, 35-year-old Nikhilesh, confiscated her phone and forced her to stay. She further noted that Diksan, who is in his 20s, is originally from West Bengal.

‘No Means No’

The survivor alleged she was given a pill that made her feel dizzy, after which she was taken to a basement room and gang-raped by both men.

“I kept saying no, but they did not listen to me. They should have stopped. No means no,” the student said in a video statement.

In an interaction with the media, the student’s lawyer stated: “We have come here to lodge a formal complaint. An FIR has been filed against the two, and a search for their whereabouts is underway. According to the victim, one individual is from West Bengal and the other is from Karnataka, while the victim herself is from another state. I have also learned that a counter-complaint has been lodged, of which I was previously unaware.”

Addressing the counter-allegations, the lawyer added, “How can a 19-year-old college student be accused of a ‘honey trap’? They met through Instagram; the accused began texting her through a mutual friend. He befriended her, gained her trust, and lured her to a location where the assault occurred around February 14. They raped her, and an attempt on her life was also made. The victim has filed a complaint, the FIR is active, and police are currently recording her statement.”
