Noida UKG Student Locked In School Bus For 7 Hours, Cried For Help Without Food Or Water

noida ukg student locked in school bus for 7 hours, cried for help without food or water

Noida: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old student at a private school in Noida spent nearly seven hours locked inside a school bus without food and water. According to kid’s parents, the child fell asleep in the bus and the driver and conductor failed to check the vehicle before parking it at a yard 25 kilometres away from the school.

How It Happened

As per sources, the child, a UKG student, boarded the bus in the morning on Thursday along with the other students. When the bus arrived at school, all other students got off, but the child had fallen asleep and nobody noticed him. The driver and conductor did not bother to check the bus before leaving. They drove the bus, with the sleeping child inside, to a parking yard nearly 25 kilometres away in Sector 44 and locked it up.

A Few hours later, when the child woke up alone in the locked bus, he started crying for help. But no one came, as the bus was parked in an isolated area.

Family Raises Alarm

The family grew worried when the child did not come home after school hours. They called the school, only to be told that the child had never attended class that day. That one phone call set off a frantic search that finally led to the child being found inside the locked bus at the distant parking yard. Child’s father also recorded a video of the bus in which he was trapped and can he heard slamming an old man inside the bus. It is not confirm wheather he was the driver or conductor. His father can be heard saying in the video, “Aap socho hmari kya halat hai, Sharam Kro, Bus shubh 8 bje se khadi hai”.

The incident has raised serious questions about the safety checks followed by school bus staff and whether the school had any system in place to flag absent students to parents early in the day.
