Chennai Milk Truck AC Unit Blast: An AC unit of a milk-transporting lorry exploded near Ashoka Pillar in Chennai on Tuesday night, leading to chaos on a busy road. According to police, the lorry was moving under a flyover when the air-conditioning unit used to keep the milk cool suddenly burst. The blast caused hundreds of milk packets to spill onto the road. Visuals from the spot showed milk packets scattered across the carriageway, with vehicles slowing down to avoid slipping. Traffic was badly affected as buses, cars and two-wheelers were stuck in long queues.
Locals rushed to the spot after hearing a loud sound. Police arrived soon after and cleared the road with the help of civic workers. The damaged lorry was moved to the side to ease traffic, reported news agency ANI.

Nagpur Truck Fire Incident This Month
In a separate incident at Nagpur’s Vaidyanath Chowk, a financial dispute turned into a dangerous act of revenge when a driver set two trucks on fire. According to officials, the driver, identified as Akash Tekam, was struggling with a heavy debt of Rs 20,000. To repay his dues, Akash sought an advance on his salary, but his boss denied, likely because of the money Akash already owed.
Overwhelmed by anger and under the influence of alcohol, Akash didn’t just walk away. He brought a bottle of petrol to the Municipal Corporation workshop, poured it inside the cabins of both trucks, and lit them on fire.
