As tensions escalate in the Middle East with Israel and the US attacking Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes, hundreds of passengers were stranded at the Kolkata Airport, who were scheduled to travel to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. Moreover, several Kolkata-bound flyers, returning from the US and Europe, were also stuck in the Gulf and Europe after the airspace shutdown, according to a TOI report.
