Buried history in Telangana: Chalukya-era copper plates found in graveyard; ASI rushes to preserve

The Archaeological Survey of India is undertaking the scientific preservation of nine copper plate inscriptions discovered in Suryapet district. These rare artifacts, belonging to the Eastern Chalukya dynasty, are undergoing chemical treatment to stabilize and preserve the inscriptions. Each plate bears the dynasty’s official seal, featuring a boar and the legend ‘Svasti Tribhuvanamkusa’.
