Cheetahs set to roar in Bengaluru, Bannerghatta to welcome African pair; pumas, jaguars to follow

Bengaluru’s Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) is set to welcome African cheetahs as part of an animal exchange program, making it the third Indian facility to house them. Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre announced the cheetahs’ arrival within months, along with jaguars, pumas, and other exotic animals by 2026. In exchange, BBP will send an elephant to Japan.
