Kolkata Crime News: A horrifying crime has emerged from Baduria’s Papila area in North 24 Pargana district in West Bengal, where a Booth Level Officer (BLO) allegedly murdered the husband of his extramarital lover, dismembered the body, and dumped the parts in canals and water bodies. The accused BLO and a professional killer have been arrested by Bengal police in this incident. According to police sources, a person named Nasir Mandal, 38, went missing on February 9 after being called by the local BLO Rizwan Hasan alias Montu under the pretext of submitting SIR documents, leading to a thorough serach to find him.

Police said the deceased went missing right after leaving his home for submitting the documents for SIR. When the person did not come back, his family lodged a missing complaint at local police station and raised allegation against the BLO. Later, his bike and shoes were recovered from a canal, prompting his family to file a kidnapping complaint.

Confession

During interrogation, the accused BLO Rizwan confessed to having an affair with Nasir’s wife, Beauty Khatun. After the relationship became public and caused marital tension, Rizwan, in a fit of rage, conspired with accomplice Sagar Gain to kill Nasir. Then the BLO made a plan and called him to a location seeking few documents for SIR exercise. When the person arrived at the location, hewas murdered, his body cut into pieces, and stuffed into plastic bags before being discarded in various water bodies.

Police arrested Rizwan and Sagar both, recovering human remains from a canal on Saturday. Investigations revealed that Rizwan had paid Sagar several lakhs of rupees to carry out the crime. Both accused are now in police custody for 10 days as investigations continue.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting a chilling misuse of position and trust.
