The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has won the first prize under the Rajbhasha Kirti Awards for 2025-26 in the category of ministries and departments with fewer than 300 personnel.
The award recognises the department’s outstanding implementation, effective use and innovative achievements in Official Language Hindi during the year 2025-26.
The award was presented at the 6th All India Official Language Conference and Hindi Diwas organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The two-day conference is being held on September 14 and 15 at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.
Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Hari Har Mishra, received the award on behalf of the department from the Union Home Minister.
The Rajbhasha Kirti award acknowledges efforts towards effective implementation of Hindi in official work, encouraging its wider use within the department and promoting innovative and creative applications of the language.
Representatives from various ministries, departments and institutions involved in the implementation and promotion of Official Language Hindi are participating in the conference.
The recognition highlights the DFS’s efforts to strengthen the use of Hindi in official communication and promote greater adoption of the language through innovative initiatives.
The 6th All India Official Language Conference is providing a platform for deliberations on the development of Hindi as the Official Language, people’s language and link language, as well as its coordination with other Indian languages, technology, translation and literature.
