Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the continuous flow of rivers teaches us how we can utilise our capabilities for the welfare of humanity.
He noted that the spirit of selfless service, dedication and benevolence gives a new direction to the nation.
The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam conveying that human beings should dedicate their lives to the service and welfare of others. Just as rivers flow ceaselessly and selflessly, sustaining countless lives with their waters before ultimately merging with the ocean, we too should devote our time, abilities, and resources to the well-being of others. It underscores that the true purpose and fulfilment of human life lie in selfless service, compassion, and the welfare of all.
The Prime Minister wrote on X;
“नदियों का अविरल प्रवाह सिखाता है कि हम किस प्रकार अपने सामर्थ्य का उपयोग मानवता की भलाई के लिए कर सकते हैं। निःस्वार्थ सेवा, समर्पण और परोपकार की यही भावना राष्ट्र को नई दिशा देती है।
जीवनं स्वं परार्थाय नित्यं यच्छत मानवाः।
इति सन्देशमाख्यातुं समुद्रं यान्ति निम्नगाः॥”
