Karan Tacker reveals he performed a stunt for Special Ops 2 on the world’s second-highest man-made dam: "I no longer fear heights"

In the high-octane world of Special Ops, bullets fly, secrets unravel, and spies bleed in silence. But off-screen, the one who plays one of those spies had to face down something far more personal: fear. Amid the buzz of the series’ second season, Karan Tacker, who plays intelligence officer Farooq Ali, dropped a revelation during an interview. He admitted that he cried during the filming of a scene in Season 1. The man who stares down terrorists in reel life was petrified of stunts, especially the ones involving heights. But if Season 1 was about discovering vulnerability, Season 2 is about rising from it. This time around, Karan showed grit with zero body doubles.

He recently mentioned, “I believe every project helps you evolve and adds to your personality. I never knew I enjoyed action this much; it was a real learning curve. My biggest phobia is heights. In Special Ops 1, there’s a scene where my character stands at the edge of a 15-16 floor 16-floor-high building. The moment I stood up, I was so overwhelmed that I sat down in fear, with tears in my eyes. It was intense, but I faced it.”

He further added,” In Special Ops 2, there’s a stunt I wanted to do. When Neeraj sir asked if I wanted to do it or not, I said I’d like to see the location first. It turned out to be the world’s second-highest man-made dam. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to do this for myself. Afterward, the feeling stayed with me. Today, I no longer fear heights. I’m excited to do more. That experience was a turning point, something I truly took back from Special Ops 2.”

Tacker has also completed the final leg of filming for Prime Video’s much-anticipated thriller series Bhay, with the last leg shot in London. Touted as one of the most demanding roles of his career so far, Bhay is already generating buzz within industry circles as a potential game-changer for the actor. With several high-profile projects in the pipeline, such as Special Ops 2, Tanvi -The Great, spread across leading platforms and genres, Karan is positioning himself as a name to watch in 2025 and beyond.
