A multi-tracking project between Bellary and Chikjajur in Karnataka will significantly improve rail connectivity between Secunderabad and Mangaluru. This project will reduce travel time by approximately 10 hours, enabling direct trains to operate in 15-17 hours. The enhanced infrastructure will also boost freight movement to Mangaluru, a major industrial port.
