Sandeep, arriving from Japan at Kempegowda International Airport, was offered a cheaper ride by Santosh, but the driver, Kabiruddin, then demanded a much higher fare. When Sandeep refused, Kabiruddin locked the car doors and drove to Esteem Mall, coercing him to pay ₹4,220. The driver then dumped Sandeep’s luggage and sped off, leading to the arrest of both accused.
