Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau officials apprehended five individuals in Nirmal district for illicitly transporting alprazolam and other chemicals. Authorities seized 425 kg of chloral hydrate and 1.1 kg of alprazolam, valued at ₹52 lakh. The accused, including repeat offender B Rama Goud, manufactured the drugs in Maharashtra, intending to sell them to toddy shops for producing spurious toddy.
