Hyderabad airport receives hoax bomb threat; conduct anti-sabotage checks, email linked to ‘Operation Polo’

Hyderabad’s airport and Begumpet airport underwent thorough anti-sabotage checks by bomb disposal squads on Wednesday following a bomb threat received via email. The email, referencing ‘Operation Polo’ and the arrest of Savukku Shankar, claimed IEDs were planted at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and aboard a flight. Authorities declared the threat a hoax after extensive searches revealed no explosives.
