India’s most dangerous roads: Delhi, Haryana stretches of NH-44 top killers; 2,300+ lives lost on national highways in 2023



India’s National Highway 44’s Haryana and Delhi sections are the most dangerous, with 715 and 63 deaths respectively in 2023. SaveLife Foundation’s analysis of government data identified these accident-prone areas. The Gurgaon-Rajasthan border stretch on NH-48 is also highly unsafe. Authorities are planning corrective measures, focusing on pedestrian and cyclist safety in urban areas.
