After nearly 11 years, Andhra Pradesh Upa Lokayukta Justice P Rajani has approved compensation for Chilakaladona village residents in Kurnool district whose agricultural lands were submerged due to the Guru Raghavendra reservoir project. Following a complaint by farmer Raghava Reddy, 53 beneficiaries were identified for compensation, with 26 already receiving payments. Authorities have been directed to expedite the remaining disbursements.
